Seriously, I think there is another issue here that you're not mentioning. I can't imagine any employer firing someone for not drinking. Perhaps I'm wrong. Is it that the employer is male, and possibly expects that the drinking will lead to other things?
If that's the case, call him on it and see what he says. AFTER you buy a small digital recorder, load it with batteries, turn it on and stick it in a pocket.
If your boss is a woman and is firing you because you won't drink with her, again, let me know when the position comes open. I'll start prepping my resume now.

Likely is a social thing more than the drinking. You could be the DD or just have non-alcoholic beer when they drink their suds.
likely if your already fired though, Id sue them on discrimination accounts and hire a lawyer too.
