I don't understand!
My psychology teacher was telling our class today about how there are experiments going on with mice which have to do with targeting the pleasure center in the brain and stimulating it with electricity, thus creating a fake orgasm.

I don't understand what they mean by a fake orgasm!!!

Can someone explain this to me?

I know of that experiment. I don't recall it being an orgasm though. What it was was that when a certain current shocked the mice, it stimulated their brain to release a neurotransmitter: dopamine. Dopamine is the "reward" neurotransmitter, and thus when this spikes, the subjects will feel pleasure. And so, when the mice pulled a lever which shocked them, and caused them to release dopamine, then they kept pressing it.

hii,our brain is the cetre for recception of all signal which comes to it wheather as neural conduction, electric, any type of stimuli as chemical signal.so while providing a electric signal may affect the secreaction of right chemical.simply when brain sees you or me it does not remebered your face not of mine it only knows the chemical may be hormone, enzymes or others.so when next time its meets you again the same chemcal(if )secreated then it can identify you.some time what happened some mis secreations are there so we are seeing some thing but it will look loke some thing else.

I am reminded of that line from Barbarella : "An angel doesn't make love, an angel IS love." How could such a creature fake anything ? (India must be an angel - heh.)
