Blood group can be the same, there is no problem. Only the Rh factor should not be different. In case it is different, soon after the child birth of the first child, the wife would need to take an injection. This would prevent the second child from developing complications. Consult a doctor.

If you n your wife have the same blood group i.e the ABO and the Rh type of your blood match then there is not going to be any problem, but if you are Rh + & your wife is Rh - then there could be incompatibility reactions in the wife's body only if she is pregnant with a baby who is Rh+,resulting which antibodies will be formed in the mother's body during the first pregnancy, these antibodies will not affect the child during the first pregnancy, but if your wife gets pregnant with an Rh+ child during the second pregnancy there will be incompatibility reactions in the child n he may suffer with erythroblastosis foetalis, which is treatable in the early stages. Now days mothers who might have risk of such a scenario are given antibodies which prevent any incompatibility reactions in the baby :)

Genetics determine blood type. I am B+ my daughter's dad is A and my daughter is O, and yes she is his, I am not a slutty baby momma that has babies to get money from the dads. As long as your wife isn't a negative blood type then she should be okay to have kids, if she is a negative blood type then she just has to get a shot after having a child.

No need to worry. But, I will advice you both to have your blood checked for Thelesemia (i'm not sure about the correct spelling of this disease). If you both are minor carriers, you should forget giving the birth of your own child. If only one of you is a minor carrier....you may plan your child.

My husband is O+ and I'm O-. When I got pregnant, they told me that if the baby was O- then my body might see the baby as a foreign body and try to reject it. It's called an RH factor if that's any help. But if you and your wife are the same bloodtype than it shouldn't be a problem and have no effect on your baby.

Only if your wife has a negative blood type, and you positive. Then the RH Factor is in effect.

Do you mean like you both have type A blood? It makes not difference. That's not genetics, that's the presence of antibodies on the red blood cells.

no in no way its going to create any problem...
In the case if mother is o -ve and father is o+ve then also in case of first pregnancy there is no problem......but in case of second pregnancy there is a problem b'coz of the antibodies produced in body....and this antibody takes atleast 5-6 years to go...after that there is no problem...all the best
