how do you erase everything on an ipod and start over?

delete any content in your itunes music/video/games/etc. stuff in your itunes library will be on your ipod. u delete something from library next time u plug your ipod in it will erase it.

(Please note that you must have iTunes installed in your computer before you start.)

1.) Plug in your iPod to the firewire.
2.) Leave it on for a few minutes until you see a summary folder pop up on the screen.
3.) In the summary screen, you will see Version highlighted in grey on your screen.
4.) Click on the icon that says RESTORE

Follow the directions after you hit RESTORE. All your songs will be deleted out of your iPod putting it back into factory settings.
