Just because they are reptiles does not mean that they lay eggs. The king cobra does, but there are several species of snake that give birth to live young, not like mammal but the eggs actually hatch inside the mother so the snake does not actually lay the eggs. Example the common garter snake.

king cobra is a reptile.. so no doubt in that it will lay eggs only..

the eggs (or young, depending on species) come out through the cloaca. snakes will build nests near water, or under rocks to lay the eggs. cobras actually build a nest out of leaves and guard the clutch until right before they hatch.
