When I lived in ATL, I could drive anywhere for the weekend, Savannah was about 3 hours away, New Orleans was about 5 hours... Nashville was close... there were tons of places to go! But now, I'm stuck. I'm tired of driving to Indy and Cinncinati. What else is there? I don't want to go camping... any ideas?

Chicago IL is 5 hours driving, but even better you can hop on a Southwest flight and get there in an hour, and it probably doesn't cost any more than driving and paying to park your car every night.

Nashville TN is three hours away.

St Louis MO is four hours away.

St. Louis is 3-1/2 hours away and Nashville is only 3 hours south, Columbus, OH (a college town) is within 3 hours. Southern, IN, NOT Indy has several areas with casinos.

Since you mention Nashville, it is still a viable option.

I've never been here, but my sister absolutely loves Nashville, Indiana. Quaint shops, and it looks GORGEOUS in the fall, so I'll bet it's pretty any time. Looks like it's just a few hours from you.
