My brain says yes. However, my selfish side wants someone to myself. It also seems useful in raising children.

I do not think of monogamy as "a concept".
One could ask if monogamy was ever a valid choice for one's lifestyle. Values come and go with the times, some individuals need monogamy to further their security. Others do not need it, and happily engage in multiple relationships.
To answer you, I do not think of monogamy "as an outdated concept", no.

No, monogamy is more important now than ever with all the sluts and players out there and diseases that can kill you slow. Too bad but this ain't the 60s/70s anymore. What's wrong with monogamy if you are lucky enough to have the right person

Not at all. It is just hard NOT to think that after watching prime time TV or browsing some of the relationship-oriented questions that are posted here.
Monogamy is very much alive and well, unfortunately it is mainly found among the self-respecting people.
I mean, come on...is it REALLY that hard to break something off if you aren't mentally and emotionally in the relationship anymore? The answer is no, it's just some people are too lazy to do so or want to have their cake and eat it too. *sigh* Kind of sad, when you think about it.

lol, for psycho, monogamy is for two people to decide to be solely with each other.
no, I don't think it's outdated quite yet. people are still dating single significant others, and it's quite flattering for the other person as well, which builds a strong relationship/

I usually range from one woman to zero women, so I'm messing up in the whole other direction.
