Both men built a huge Empire in Europe.
Charlemagne was considered as a King of Europe because his territory was really large. So was Napoléon but he didn't win all the wars.
We cannot say that Charlemagne was French, he was king of the Franks (France didn't really exist at this time). Napoléon was French, he was born in Corsica.

Both are Frenchmaen who united he French people and expanded their Empires through war. Napolean eventually failed and was driven into exile. Charlemaigne's empire became thw foundation of modern Europe.

both are famous leaders. both are europeans. napoleon lived during the 1700s. Charlemagne lived between 0AD and 1000AD.
