Yes, you can install PC 133 RAM in a motherboard that is running PC 100 RAM. It will bump down in speed to PC 100.

yes and no. Depending on your motherboard and the module. Some modules are backward compatible and some are not, some brands work and other will not. Long story on that. Manufacturer's sell modules that do not pass their stringent tests. Then the buyer may sell it as his own for a little cheaper price. So with memory I buy from the well known like Kingston, etc. If you have the pc 133 modules already stick them in to find out if they work or not. You will not get any faster speed as the board dictates the speed not the module.

That all depends on your motherboard.

If you open up your pc, you'll see the model number written on it somewhere, usually in the middle of the motherboard, or the bottom-left.

Google it and look up the specs.
