Because you are part of the machine. You are on board with U.S.A's biggest employer. What you might not know, is that a repercussion to us ignorant American's shopping at these big box stores (especially Walmart), we are not only contributing to but accelerating the disappearance of the mom & pop shops (small businesses) that bring community and culture to COMMUNITIES all over america. Now, in a small town, instead of having generations old shops with service and quality you can depend on, you have these stores who pay their employees pretty much, minimum wage and they funnel all of the money to the big boys, the executive officers who live in multimillion dollar condos and drive the newest BMW's and decide which town they want to drain next. Walmart is a good example of the runaway train we like to call "free enterprise".
Oh, I guess, to clearly answer your question.... If you knew any better, you wouldn't be.

Because everyone needs to work and needs a job to have a succesful career. Why do we need a successful career? To live a good life. So you work at Walmart to be successful in life. There are people out there who don't have any jobs at all.

Because you didn't go to college? Because you can't find anything better? Because you are willing to work at what ever job is available.... unlike many people who think they can just sit around doing nothing until the "right" job comes along, which it never will...

If you're a teen- Because you can't make 50,000 dollars a year when you get out of high school
If your an adult- Because you are still looking for something meaningfull to do/ or you're just lazy.
