I have a daughter Breanna & another girl on the way. I want a name that flows well with it but not to similar (no Brandy or Britney- they are too close). We usually call my daughter Bre for short so I want a name that can be shortened as well so short names like Ava don't work well for me. Any ideas are a big help, thanks!

Bailey or Brennan, I know the second one is really close but if you like it, you can always tell Breanna that because she is so special you wanted to name her little sister after her, but since you can't name them both the same thing, you made it as close as you could.

Away from the B's I've always liked the name Jannica. We always had the name Victoria Claire picked out (call her Tori) but since we only know how to make boys, we gave up on that. A lady at work named her baby Auburn. I hated it at first, but it's kinda grown on me.

How about Bethany? That can be shortened to Beth.

Other names I like are Jemima (jem)

Lilly

Rachel

Amy

Emily

Darcy

I don't think it is necessary to have a name that can be shortened if the name itself is pretty in the first place.

I think Vanna is the best and also suitable name for your second daughter. It's the name of a beautiful village in north of Iran. It's not necessary to start both names by "B"

I quite like the name Marlena, doesn't quite rhyme but it flows well.
My sister's name rhymes with mine very closely and even the family gets them mixed up. (and we're not twins)

You can also shorten it to Lena.
