Sis, I would have to say Micheal Jordan.... When he started playing b-ball and putting salt in his shoes as a kid... he got like R Kelly and believed he could fly.... and he did. The best baller that ever lived. Hands down.

He was so good, at all the sports, that his name was turned into a common noun designating athletes (people who could run, jump and throw objects like no others). He also tried to become a chess champion, but he realized that he didn't have what it takes...

I agree, Jim Thorpe. Especially when you consider what he had to overcome as a native American during that time in history. He really could do it all; run, jump, throw, catch, kick, play football and baseball. He also was able to perform for a very long time.

Please forgive my spelling.....but Babe Didrickson Zaharais by far was the greatest athlete....she won 17 consecutive golf tournaments...which Tiger will never come close to touching....won a Major after a cancer period......won gold medals in the Olympics......played baseball and baskeball as well.....she was truely the other "Babe" behind "Ruth" who I think would be a close 2nd because of his dominance in baseball........Babe Didrickson Zaharais the "greatest" ever!!
