Damn yankees in the South are like hemorroids.
They come down,will not go back up ,and are a pain in the butt!!!

The weather is great and usually the people are freindly.
My parents were from the south. In the 60's because of lack of work many people came North. My mom said it was hard to get an apartment or a job with a southern accent. My father was initially harassed for many years at his job for taking the jobs of Northerners. We kept the southern traditions from how we were with family, faith,food. Right down to butchering our own meat fattened on a farm, and made ready for the family thing in the garage in Chicago. I grew up with hams salt curing on the porch and stung pole beans above it. I've made cracklins from a hole hog. I've made hundreds of bisquits and pans of corn bread. Thousands of jarred perserves and vegatables.
When I get to move south I don't want to be a northerner, just a miss placed southerner.
Many of the kids from the parents of the 60's are just returning back, because "home" was a term of back south all our lives.
Try to show a little patience, and more class then the northerners showed my parents. The South is better than that kind of attitude.

Lots of us move down there just for the weather. My parents moved down south because of a job transfer. But don't worry, you'll be rid of me as soon as I get old enough to move back home!

That attitude is so 1859. There is no North and South, and Jefferson Davis is not your Confederate President...get with the times.
