Go to your internet connection, right click and choose properties and then advanced.
If you have Norton then they call it the Internet Worm Protection...right click on the norton icon on the tray (clock area) and choose options then internt worm protection, then just disable it.
If you have another anti-virus software then you will need to find out on there.

Depends on what you have. If you have norton's then click the icon in the tool bar. If you have windows, go to the control panel and go to windows firewall.

This can be done from inside the program's settings.
If you're just using Windows' built-in firewall (or just want to turn it off) go to Start>Control Panel>Security>Windows Firewall.
Click here, click there, done.

2 ways to check & un check firewall settings.
1 - Right click on LAN ICON->Open Firewall settings->Now select Turn On/Off option depends on you wish.
2 - Start->Control Panel->Security Center->Firewall option->Turn On/Off option depends on you wish.
