A dj for a seven year old?!?! Sure it is "cool", but it is overboard. What will you be doing for your child when they are 16? Will you rent an amusement park? Hire a rock band? If you set such high standards for your child's birthday party at such a young age you will be constantly raising the bar until your child's expectations for their big day will unreasonable. You will be raising someone who will be disappointed by simple things like slumber party birthdays, birthdays where the child gets to pick one or two friends to go somewhere special, family parties, pool parties, etc. The kid is SEVEN - not seventeen. Do the child and yourself a favor and chill on the over the top party ideas. Let your child be a child.

No, It is a waste of time and money. The 7 year old is not going to even care. Wait until the 7 year old is a teenager then the kid will appreciate what a DJ is and what its for.

as long as the dj is sober, patient (sigh.. .i've tried that with groups of kids....everyone wanting "ME ME ME NOW NOW NOW!) and has good command of his music (ie. lyrical content & age approriateness).
