I would be pronouced like S-i-r-ee. I fell in love with this name about 10 years ago and now I'm at 30 weeks and getting close to the due date.

It's not a very well known name but I think it's beautiful. I've found a couple references about the name. There was some famous lady in Britain in the early 1900's. It also is an island in the story the Odyssey (a beautiful bountiful island.)

What do you think of the name (be nice)

What about middle names. My last name is Hunt so I can't have any C or K names. I'm fond of E names too. One idea is Syrie Elizabeth Hunt. Thank you for all responses.

Siree is not my style. What if people start calling her "Sir" for short?
Just because you like a name doesn't mean your daughter will like it and that she will have an easy life with that name.
I had to change my name because my parents LOVED a particular name and they named me that and it didn't mesh well with my last name. Your child's personality can be affected by her name.

There's nothing wrong with liking a name but you have to put yourself in her shoes. It's not too late to look for a new name.

Don't do it. All of her school years she'll be called "Yes, siree." No one will know how to pronounce it, and she'll constantly have to say it for people, which will be annoying and embarrassing for her. Do her a favor and pick something else. Elizabeth is a beautiful first name. Save the weird names that mean something only to you for your pets.
