I'll tell you why. Any man who gives you the old tired line of being incapable of loving and commitment is just a player who wants to get as much as he can out of as many women as he can. Never believe any bull**** story about being hurt before or traumatised in childhood. We've all been at one time or another and we get along OK anyway. Don't waste your time with such men sweetie. Instead look for a man who's mature and able to handle the stuff life throws at everyone and not just "men". good luck.

It is because from the time we are 2 we are told don't cry, be tough, boys don't cry. In school you are a p u s s y if you show emotion or lean to the arts. In high school it is ten times that. So you get to be an adult and all you have heard is that this behavoir--love and committment--are wimpy things. So we run and hide from it. Actually, it is all a lot of men really want but after years of being told it is girly or gay, it is extremely hard to open up.

Some men just do not feel that within them they feel empty, they are not happy themselves and well believe single life is better for them. Some guys can be in relationships for many years but the whole marriage, one women for the rest of there lives well for some it sounds like a death sentence to there manhood. Some guys just want to screw as many women before they croak which turns out to be a sad pathetic life when they are old and grey and all they have to show for it is a photo collage of the women they conquered and the number of STD's they have had over the years. I love marriage and could not see myself without my wife she is awesome.

thats just the reason they use to mask the real reason. truth is deep down, men are scared shitless to give their heart to someone. they're afraid of getting hurt. but since they're supposed to to be the tough ones and the brave and courageous ones, they cant really go around saying that they are afraid, so they try to look all hard core like if they didnt give a crap about feelings and love. but its all a farse that prevents them from knowing some great things in life.

My guess is that they came from a broken home and that along with the fact that marriage itself is not generally looked upon as a desirable establishment in the eyes of American men is a double whammy. Most American men I know of today see marriage as surrender, giving up their prized bachelorhood. They don't see the benefits of marriage. They are self-centered. They don't want anyone else to take care of except themselves. It's not that they're incapable. They just don't want it. They are cowards.
