Well in my oppinion after 3 years u should know if that person is the one or not..

If you are mutually exclusive (not seeing other people) I would say the topic of marriage can be brought up after a year. When i was in my early 20's I was honest with my live in girlfriend, I told her I wasn't ready to get married. She agreed. We broke up after 3 years, she got engaged within 6 months after. 15 years later she has been through 2 divorces, I was single for a few years, then i met a wondeful woman we dated for a year and half, got engaged then got married. We just celebrated 11 years of marriage and we couldn't be happier!

This is one of those "10 people will give 10 answers" type questions. Some people date for years and years before marriage. Others, like the parents of a friend of mine, got drunk, met at a party, got married the next day and were happily married for the rest of their lives.

It really depends on the feelings each person has I know for myself it was 6 months I waited to meet her parents living in a different City proposed on Christmas Day in front of her family.
That was over 8yrs ago.
I think the average is 1-4yrs

I dated and knew my husband 8 months before we got married. But we knew we wanted to get married the moment we met. It is definitely different for everyone.

I would say at least 6 months to a year and that is on the low side.

it is different for everyone
i have seen couples get married after only one month of dating and stay together till they die
i have seen couples date for a decade and get divorced after less than a year of being married

I think it depends on how your relationship is progressing.......youll know from how much youve talked about marriage.
