Before Bombay/Mumbai developed to the mega metro that it is today it was a sleepy fisherfolks village .The time refered to is much before British occupation in India. The places named Bandra, Juhu and Kandivali were existent right from ancient days.Where as there are other areas which are developed relatively recently like V T,Church gate,Nariman point,Back bay reclamation, marine drive,Santacruz which have acquired their name in the process of develoement.Hence it is difficult to think of these old Bombay landmarks having any other name.
