61
61/2 = 30 remainder 1
61/3 = 20 remainder 1
61/4 = 15 remainder 1
61/5 = 12 remainder 1
The way to figure this out was to multiply 3 x 4 x 5 then add 1. If you multiplied by 2, the number would have been over 80, but if a number is divisible by 4, it's also divisible by 2!

If x divides all those numbers with a remainder of 1, then x-1 must be divisible by 2, 3, 4 and 5. Let's concentrate on this lower number. If a number is divisible by 2 and 5, then it must be divisible by 10. So it's a number ending in 0. And if it's divisible by both 2 and 3, then it must be divisible by 6 too. That leaves only 30 or 60. But it must also be divisible by 4. Only 60 does this. So if x-1=60, then x = 61.
As for how to set up a chart or diagram to get to the answer, I suppose one exhaustive way to do it would be to write down the numbers 1 through 80, then starting with 1 count up every 5th number (to get all of the numbers which when divided by 5 give you a remainder of 1), mark those, then do the same with the other factors until you end up with 61 as the only one that fits all the criteria.

I would say 61 because that is the LCF. For all of them so then you would add one. I am not sure how I would make a chart for this on how to figure it out, but you could try to organize 2,3,4 and 5 as multiples in single rows and adding one to all the answers. Hope this helps with at least having the answer.

to give remainder of 1 when divided by 2: it has to be odd
To give a remainder of 1 when divided by 5: it has to end in 1 or 6.
therefore: it ends in 1.
to give a remainder of 1 when divided by 4: 1st digit must be even
Possibilities are: 21, 41, 61
21/3=7
41/3=13 2/3
61/3=20 1/3
the number is 61.
