I was with this man for 3 years, He is 23, he has a 4 year old daughter. He has lived with his mother his whole life up until we moved out together,(6 months ago) it only lasted 1 month, because I didn't want the "party" life anymore, and I was trying to force him to stop drinking as well. I told him that i thought he should go to work, take care of his daughter when he has her(joint custody) and start a life with me, We constantly fought about him going out with his boys.(i let him party alot the first 2 years)
He said i was demanding too much. we broke up. now he lives with his brother half the week and his mother the other half, when he has his daughter. (his mother helps take care of her) all i wanted was for him to work, take care of his daughter, then come home to me, I did not want him to go out EVERY week. Is that too much? So now when he has his daughter, he stays with his mom, she cooks, helps raise her and buys all the clothes, when he does NOT have her, He's out drinking.

Leave that baby at his mama's house!!! If she wants to wipe his butt for the next 30 years just let her. You aren't going to change him, you'll torture yourself trying. He thought that he was gonna move in with you and you were gonna treat him like his mama; maybe even better. Then you expect him to grow up. Having a daugher didn't make him grow up any, he ain't about to change now. Sorry, but he is a loser. Cut your losses and find a real man. Best of luck. :)

You broke up, it's none of your business anymore. But the fact of it is, you were too controlling. You got with him knowing what he was like and then tried to be demanding and change him. You cannot change a man. He can only change himself if he wants to. Find a man that already has the qualities you are looking for.

He obviously isn't ready to grow up and lead an adult life, which is what you're asking him to do. It also seems like mommy is enabling him to continue in his infantile ways. Dump the loser, and look for a grown up next time.

he's a loser, he needs to be a man and start taking some responsibility for his daughter start acting like the grown up he needs to be, his family members aren't helping him learn what it takes to care for his own responsibilities when they are easily picking up the slack for him and allowing him to continue his behavior....

he is still young, so maybe not a complete looser, maybe still stuck in the party life mode, when he gets older and still behaves like that then i would definitely say LOSER
