I've been dating a woman that got divorced a few years ago from a man that was abusing her. She's told me a few times that she'd never go back, however, I noticed that she started wearing her wedding ring again. She says that sometimes she just puts it on but I'm puzzled why she would do this. Any women care to comment ?

Well im a very hands on type of person, so i don't often wear my wedding ring. Too many horror stories of those things getting caught in the wrong places and fingers getting ripped off. I still have mine, but i can't say that if i lost it, i would be in too much of a hurry to replace it. I'm pretty practical when it comes to money, i don't wear it enough to justify buying another one to have it sit in my pocket with the lint. I've been married almost 7 years now, i still occasionally refer to my wife as my girlfriend and get a dirty look for it. Oh well, i'm just a guy and i use the wrong words sometimes, can't be helped. He's still claiming you as his in public so what's the big deal? Now if he said you were his friend, then there might be a problem there. "Still getting used to the married thing......" After two years he should be used to it, guys like ruts, he should have fallen into the marriage rut a long time ago. Might be something to it, might not be, as a guy we do like to keep it simple, so this just might have been the quickest and easiest answer he could think of to stop the barrage of follow up questions.

After I broke up with my ex, I would still wear the necklace he gave me. It made me think of our happier times and just feel special again. However, once I started dating my current boyfriend and knew that it was going to last, I packed all that stuff up and put it away. So, in conclusion, she may just be nostalgic about the ring. If it bothers you (and you two are at least semi-serious) buy her a piece of jewelry to replace it. I know that I was dying for something to wear that symbolized that I had someone and now that I have it, I feel a lot better.

Because sometimes we are just not ready to let go yet that is why. She probably still loves him. We women are strange like that at times lol.

I think it's very weird she wears a wedding ring if she's not married anymore.Maybe she's hidding something from you.
