If 1 cm represents 10 km, then we can take a measurement in centimeters, multiply it by 10, and that value will be the real value in kilometers. So on the map 44.5cm must mean 445 km, and the other side must measure 591 km. The area of Wyoming in square kilometers is then 445*591 = 262,995 km^2

First you convert cm into km. So if 1 cm = 10 km then that means 44.5 cm = 445 km and 59.1 cm = 591 km. To find area multiply length and width (445 * 591)
= 262995 km^2!

if 1 cm = 10 km
then 44.5 cm = 445 km (just multiply by 10 and change the units)
similarly 59.1 cm = 591 km.
now area = length x width
so Wyoming area = 445 km x 591 km = 262995 km2

agree and disagree with this! I agree with the fact that more married people need to focus more on their marriages instead of focusing on finding something on the side, but you can't sit here and blame it on internet dating services...they are here for people looking for love, they have no control over the people who join the sites, yes it is wrong for married people to claim they are single or seperated when it's not true but it boils down to the person not the dating site

It is WRONG to say 1cm = 1km. What you are trying to say is that 10cm REPRESENTS 1km - they will never be equal!
