I'm looking for a way to cleanse my thyroid gland, I have found allot of information on the web, through companies who try and sell there kit, but I am hesitant because all the kits are pricey. Has anyone out there cleansed there thyroid successfully, and have a method to share.

Goal go one step back to the liver. If you get it cleaned out (the only thing I remember is turmeric) the other will follow.

If you are worried about the thyroid gland. You can go to a doctor and request a ultrasound scan of it. It is cheap, painless and quick. It will show if it contains nodules, are enlarged or needs further checking. If you want a herb that cleans it, it would first be good to find out if it is hyperactive or hypoactive (large or small). You can search the net for symptoms of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, and se which fit you best, if any.
This gland is part of a bigger axis and is controlled by the pituitary gland in your brain - which in turn gets feedback from your blood (chemicals). I would celan my blood before I cleaned my thyroid.

Keep away from those type of cleanses. You either have a thyroid problem or you don't. If you do have a problem, thyroid meds will help if you get on the correct one for you.

My suggestion is to take some yoga classes (beginners if you've never taken yoga before). There is a pose called the shoulder stand that helps the thyroid. Several other poses are helpful, but the shoulder stand is the best. The shoulder stand is good for the whole body, but in particular, it "squeezes" the thyroid.
