Monte Carlo is a sedan....yeah? dirt track?!

then why bother? just let the garage do it with whatever. you can't see the value in the car anyway.

Rotello is a very good way to go. I know it is a diesel oil, but the only possible problem with using it in a gas engine is the catalytic converter and Rotello still has the additives that will help prevent cam lobe failure when using solid lifters (the newer oils don't have the additives anymore because of emissions and all modern cars are using hydraulic lifters) and it has better high pressure additives which are needed in commercial engines, but not in normal automotive engines. However, in a racing application there will be very similar loads on the oil that a commercial engine will see. It also has outstanding high temperature tolerance.

I've done some general homework on oils. unless you go to racing oils, I would say the best bet is Truck grade oil like Shell Rotella T. I use that in my motorcycle..it is more refined and higher quality than basic car oil..If you want what is generally recogognized as one of the best.. Amsoil. if you do a search on what oil is and how it works you can figure out what will will work best for you by knowing what it does.
