My friend got her membranes scraped and is so uncomfortable that she has resorted to going to the store and getting castor oil. A friend said she should take 4 ounces but the back of the bottle says no 4 teaspoons! has anyone tried this before, and if so how much did you take

Castor oil is poisonous is you take too much. It is the source of the poison called ricin. It will cause your friend a lot more discomfort than what she feels now. It is the kind of laxative which causes lots of cramping. It hurts!
What she could do is make a pack of towel with castor oil and put it over the area it hurts.
Place some plastic wrap over it and a heating pad for about an hour. It ma really help.

do not do anything to try and go into labor..that is not smart. if she is already scraped she will go soon enough. it may be uncomfortable, but shes pregnant!!! have her call her ob and tell them and see if they can bring her in to enduce her where they are able to watch her. she shouldnt try to do anything on her own. the baby will come when its ready and trying to rush things isnt a good idea, many ideas people have arent safe. tell her to keep her cool and just do alot of walking- gravity- put a little bounce in her step. that may just do the trick. good luck.

If she can get the 4 teaspoons down she would be doing better than I did.
It's awful, awful stuff... I took 3 ounces and gagged!!! Half an hour later I was on the toilet.... no labour... I didn't have my baby for another week.
I don't recommend it.

properly initially your in uncomplicated words 38 weeks your toddler isn't due for yet another 2 weeks, might want to might want to you pick to convey and early labour?! Im kinda happy your suffering on your lack of expertise and inpatience! i do not get you females those who pick to attempt this to your self and your toddler! both one of my toddlers were 2 weeks late, yet i not in any respect endangered my toddlers by potential of appearing some as so stupid as taking 1/2 a bottle of CO. telephone your midwife tell her how stupid you've been and be conscious what see says. She might want to pop out to work out you or basically deliver you instantly to the well being facility for a examine up. wish your toddler is wonderful and robust success with the delivery.

i drank almost the whole bottle of a semi big bottle. i found out later i didnt need to drink that much. he told me about 3/4 of a SMALL bottle of it. i did it twice (with orange juice of course). didnt work either time. worked for other chicks. but spent one embarrasing night with diarhea in the hospital cause my stomach hurt real bad i thought it was labor! lol.

Caster oil is a laxative and all it will do is make you crap. It's also not reccomended by doctors to take. I would tell your friend to just relax and let that poor baby come in it's own time!

This has been found to possibly cause the baby to have a bowel movement while in uterine. Not recommended since the baby can aspirate on the muconium.

dont take that stuff!! all it does is make you poop, which is the same muscles that make you push the baby out!!! it tastes horrible! don't do 4 oz, only a teaspoon at the most, if she can hold it down, she might throw it up.!!!
sex, orgasm, squats, those will help the baby come, not pucking all day!

DON'T DO IT!!! She will poop herself to death. It will probably induce labor but at the cost of spraying poop everywhere. While she is pushing she will go everywhere!!! Let nature take its course. I was there three times. I know how she feels. I won't be much longer anyway.

it depends on how strong your gag reflax is- its the heaving that causes contractions. Mine isn't sensitive at all- I drank a whole bottle of that nasty stuff and all i got was an upset stomach.
