Should I do rockets or the universe as my project?

Universe of what?
Without any experiment, 'universe ' is the best choice.

Rockets. I'm a fan of doing lots of work for projects, but it would be literally impossible to include all the necessary info were you to do the universe. Doing rockets will still allow you to learn a little about the universe anyway.

Somebody already did the universe project; his name is God. So just do the rocket thing...

rockets... but explore some of the proposed propulsion methods that would enable interstellar travel... at the very least you could probably talk your parents into letting you fire off some model rockets.
