It's not uncommon for the door ajar switches to get sticky on these and all Ford vehicles. The ajar switch is located inside the latch assembly. Spray liberal amounts of WD-40 or penetrating fluid into the latch assembly of each door, and open and close the doors repeatedly until the problem resolves, failing which will require you to replace the faulty switch. To do so requires removal of the door trim panel to access.

I somewhat have a 1999 Ford day out, the dome mild could flash on and stale and the vehicle lock function could lock and liberate. I sprayed the drivers door with WD40 and concern solved. i could provide that a try..

Probably is a bad door switch. Question is which one? You could try unplugging each one to see if it stops (if you can reach the plug). I would try the driver's door first, then the passenger door, then the rear doors.

i own a repair shop, and i think your right on this one,a bad door switch will make them stay on all the time like that, either that or the interior switch is on,that's about the only thing though that will make them stay on like this, the reason its going out when you gain speed its forcing the door to close just a little tighter and that makes it go out, there a easy fix though, and not very expensive either ,i think around 10 bucks for the last one i bought, and less then 5 minutes to install it,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.
