This is my second pregnancy.. and with the first I worried a little, but this time I am more concerned and it isn't about a few things... It is about everything.... I worry about the baby being healthy, and I worry about early labor...(I have to have a c-section again) and I worry about every freaking pain and etc... It is driving me crazy!!! Please tell me that I am not the only one that worried worse after the first pregnancy!!! I dont drink, smoke, or do any drugs... and I only take tylenol maybe once a month if even that much... but I keep forgetting my prenantals.. ( I did with my first pregnancy too, but everything was fine..) but my blood work comes back fine.... ARRGGHHH!!!! I don't understand why I feel like this..... I do this everyday....

I guess I could add that I have a 2 1/2 year old son, and I am now 5 1/2 months pregnant... I had an ultrasound done at 9 weeks but they couldnt see what all they needed to so I will be having one done at 28 weeks..... And I am due June 17th.... They are going to schedule a c-section the first week of June, but the reason I am concerned with early labor is because I went into labor last time at 7 months, and again a few weeks later and they were able to stop it both times... What helped withthat too was the fact that my son was wrapped up in his umbilical cord so he could not drop.... But what wold happen if I went into labor early this time, and they couldnt stop it... I also worry because I live 40 minutes away from my doc, and if the baby comes early, will I make it there in time.... ( oh my goodness!!! lol) So many worries.... But I worry all the time anyways!!! :)

And I think it may be stress induced, but I have alot of pains on my stomach... Like my uterus streching, only worse... they do go away, but it really hurts... Another reason for my concern is that with my last one, I didn't get braxton hicks until 8 months... but this time I started getting them (slightly painful too) at 12 weeks.....

Well, at nine weeks, I just saw a form of a baby... not much else... They did print out pics though but it is still hard to make anything out on them... As far as the heart beat.. I hear it everyime. I am 22 weeks and go to my doc monthly since around 5 weeks.... I am a little concerned because I have a cousin with downs and I know how hard it has been to take care of her.. And I know that it will be born how gods wants it to be, but I just stress about it.... I don't really know why, but I do....

I do understand your worry. My first pregnancy was just one thing after another and they kept thinking I was losing my baby during the second trimester. So, needless to say, I was a neurotic mess for my second pregnancy.

Now, that said, you need to find a way to destress and get your mind off the worry. Worry in itself is not a healthy thing for a pregnancy. Stress causes your cortisol to increase which, in turn, can cause progesterone to decrease. To give you an idea of why that's not healthy, each month when you are not pregnant, your progesterone decreases signalling the start of your period. You want to keep progesterone levels up and the best way to do that in your case is to relax.

Now about the C-Section question. Yes I had to have a c-section with both pregnancies. With my second pregnancy, we scheduled it two weeks early to insure my husband could take leave (military) and be home for the birth. Well, my water broke about a week before the scheduled c-section. So that can happen. Let me tell you though, it was not a problem. I just went to the hospital and they performed the c-section.

As for vitamins, they are important but if you are eating a healthy diet, that counts too :)

Hang in there and relax. I hope this in some way helps and doesn't cause you to stress more. You'll be fine...really.

edited to add to your updates: Just out of curiousity, what did you see at nine weeks? Just so you know, I have a tilted uterus and my babies couldn't be seen until then and they misdiagnosed me with a miscarriage with my second because all my u/s's up until nine weeks showed only an empty sac. My dates were exact. Turns out, if you have a tilted uterus, it is difficult to get an accurate visual during the first trimester.

Why don't you call the doctor and just ask if you can come in and listen to the heartbeat. Many doctors will do this for you because they don't want women to stress.

well i cannot give you a lot of advice about previous pregnancies, however i'm 14 weeks pregnant with my first and i'm worried about a lot too. It also doesn't help that i had a misscarriage last august 3rd and now the due date for this baby is august 3rd. I'm freaking out about that. So i guess it's normal to worry. I'm terrified of the pain also, i've gone through two shoulder surgeries and the pain wasn't too bad, but knowing that something large is going to be comming out of a small area is very nerve racking. I think i would almost consider the c-section over vaginal birth if it wasn't so expensive and the payment for child birth wasn't comming out of my pocket.
As far as forgetting to take your prenatal pills, i set mine on my night stand next to my bed and every night before i go to bed i take one. It helps to take them at night so that if you do get sick from them, more than likely you won't notice because you'll be asleep.
i wouldn't be too worried, there is really nothing you can do about it until it's happening and after. just tell your self that thousands of women did the child birth thing naturally, no meds for pain and no numbing for 100's of years. My mom had all 5 of her kids natually as did my great grandmother and grandma! just remember pain is only temporary and you're not the only one going through it.
Hope i helped. good luck

I don't know the statistics for all your questions, but I worried more 2 time around, because I knew more about what could go wrong. As for the prenatal, you are supposed to take them cause so many of us don't get enough nutrients from our regular eating habits. you can take flinstones. I didn't take mine either like I was supposed to and both of my girls are fantastically healthy. You aren't the only one. And it sounds like everything else is healthy. Relax!!!!!!!!! Oh and a UTI can make you feel like you're having contractions. Just relax. Enjoy being pregnant if you're a lucky and unsick pregnant gal.

Girlfriend, I think you really need to try and relax...for yourself as well as your baby's sake. You also need to get to your doctor's office right away. Prenatal check-ups are very important. I think if you were going to your check-ups on a regular basis, you wouldn't be so stressed out. After you get to the doctor explain to him what is going on with you. He can help. There should be support groups in your area. You need to sign up and start attending. A Le-maze class would really help you. You will learn what is going on with your body during this special time of your life. Relax and enjoy it. You are creating a miracle! Good Luck an try and take my advice. At least get to the doctor for check up.
