If you have never used tampons before you may want tho try a few different brands. I had a hard time with cardboard applicators. I tried the plastc applicators and everything was fine. My preference is Kotex, however I have also used tampax pearl in the past. Like I said it may ake you a few trys to find whats best for you. I live in a house with three other woman and we all use different brands. Hang in there

I've used Tampax for 30 years. I think it is a great product. On heavy days, however, I always have backed up my tampons with either a pantyliner or a pad. Some of the other brands, which "fan out" inside of you as they absorb, hurt like heck when you try to remove them. It felt like I was pulling my insides out along with the tampon. So that's why I've always stayed with Tampax.

I'm not so into tampons. I feel that a pad is so much cleaner because you get to replace it as much as you want, while the tampons are stuck inside you and that is not really hyganic. some people are very pro-tamps though, and I've been seeing tempons made of organic materials on the market lately. you might want to try things out before sticking to one brand becaue what suites others may not necesserily suite you (and this could cause nasty allergies)

I think it all depends on your body type, how heavy your flow is, and how much you've used tampons in the past. Tampax Regular works well for me. Tampax Compax are great to carry around in your purse or to put in your desk drawer (they come with a convenient plain plastic box to put them in so they don't scream "HEY I'M ON MY PERIOD!" If this is your first time, you might want to try out a slender size. All in all, though, Tampax is my brand of choice.

I personally like Tampaz Pearls also. I've been using tampons for years and like them much more than pads. I like the Pearls because they have a plastic applicator which makes them a lot easier to use and put in.

I prefer the Kotex tampons because of the plastic applicator. I can't deal with the cardboard applicators.Try different brands and see what works best for you.

I like Playtex the best, they are comfortable and I don't notice they are there. It makes my period alot easier to get through. I saw that some have recommended Tampax. I personally think they are brutal. There are way too big and don't offer the best protection against leaks.
