so many people just go to answere your question and put thumb down 4 every 1...why is that?!!!people should rate only to help...

I think what they're doing is making their answer look like the best one by giving all the other answers a thumbs down.

I don't go to just put thumbs down, but often there are a bunch of silly answers that don't even answer the question asked- so I accurately mark them as a thumbs down.

Actually I never noticed. But since you mentioned it, I see that the last 2 above me were not marked. I guess they answered after the person thumbed the others down. It's sad that folks do such hurtful things for no reason.

It makes me feel good to give someone a thumbs up, I feel like I made their day, even if they got 100 thumbs ups. I only give thumbs down for a really rude answer.
