im almost 17! and i havent had my period. nothings really wrong with me. im just ur normal average girl and yet i still dont have my period! my sister got hers late too (around 15) but thats nothing compared to 17! hmm in truth im not so scared about it but im just wondering. any one have any ideas?

You should go see your gynecologist. You could have anything from an imperforate hymen to a hormone defect. I would not be worried, you could just be that girl on the very outside of the bell curve, but I don't think I would just wait this one out. Most doctors say that if it hasn't come by sixteen then it is a good idea to get checked out.

Be grateful. They're a *****. One question, if you don't mind me asking: How much do you weigh? Sometimes a low weight can cause it to stave off for a bit. But if the doctor doesn't say anything, just sit back and go with the flow (or lack thereof).

You may be just maturing late. I would not worry about it. Some girls get their period late. You are lucky and don't have to deal with for as long as other girls. You can talk to your doctor about it if you are concerned though.

it may not be as unusual as you think, but you do need to see a gynocologist to balance your hormones.
