My friend's husband won a $50K jackpot in Las Vegas--he called her from there and told her. When he got home he gave her $1000 and she doesn't know what happened to the rest--maybe an IRA. She feels left out. They're in a community property state and half would be hers in a divorce.

I think I would start the discussion to remind him we're a marriage so a team and we must do money thing together.

Uhhh, well lets see? He went to Vegas, she didn't. He won the money, she didn't. He could have lied to her and not tell her anything about winning and only brought her homea Figgin T-shirt, he didn't. She should quit being a damn bean counter and be grateful her husband told her what was up, instead of going to the Bunny Ranch and having three ways with porn stars and failing to mention it! You ladies are too damn greedy. Everytime I thought a girl was being affectionate on a date, she was literally (and this is spelled right) feeling my A $$.

All married couples have secrets. If a spouse is hiding money, there's a reason for it, and there is an issue with trust in this relationship. I would be offended if my husband chose to hide his winnings from me, if it was a substantial amount. One time I won $1 in lottery and I told everyone I knew. I was so happy to get that dollar.

It is hard to answer a *what if*...... I would like to believe my husband would share at least 20-80 %... but then again, I know there is the possibility he may not... He might just do as her husband did and give me the 1000, but I also know he would tell me to spend it all on ME..... and I would !!!!! well ok, maybe some on the kids and grands..... God bless

She really can not say.He did not share it with her.He gave her a thousand dollars of it.He also told her.He won 50k so it is not like he is trying to hide it from her.If she wants to know. What he did with the rest of the money? She should ask him about it..Instead of jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst.

I would be hurt but I would let it go as he won it and it really would be his money and not mine to begin with.. However my husband would never hide it from me and we would share it and discuss it together and choose together how to spend it like we do the rest of our money.

Sharing it no big deal but i would think he or she should tell you. I mean that must have been exciting so you would think that they couldnt wait to tell you. I would definitely ask why they didnt say anything. but in the end they won it and hey if they are unselfish they will share but than again i think its human nature to be greedy especially when it comes to money.

If my husband won money and didn't want to share it with me, then I would take his credit cards while he was sleeping and spend like crazy. Also, I would go down to the bank first thing in the morning when they opened and withdrawl all the money out and spend that too.

Well, how much did she win? If she won like a million bucks, then I would be ticked off. If it's only a few hundred dollars, let her enjoy the money.

I would be really hurt, because I just wouldn't do that to them. They don't necessarily have to share it with me, but I would definitely like to know about it, and what they planned on doing with the money.

But if they didn't discuss it with me, how would I know about it in the first place? It may have happened to me already....hmmm...
