I don't know how to find a agent in my area. I don't care if it's a state away from my area. I live in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I feel i'm very talented in acting, but can't find a way to get there.

I want to work with Disney Channel on Hannah Montana or The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I really want this. If you have any information or any suggestions please reply. Thank You.

THIS IS WHAT YOU DO IF YOU WANT TO BECOME AN ACTOR FOR TV/FILM/COMMERCIAL:

First and foremost, grab a camera and have someone take some quality snapshots of you. DO NOT INVEST IN PROFESSIONAL PICTURES UNTIL YOU HAVE AN AGENT!
This is because you may spend three hundred bucks, and then sign with an agent a month later who doesn't like them. WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE AN AGENT. For now, your snapshots will do just fine.

Secondly, compose a resume. It should list your name, birthdate, height, weight, eye & hair colors, theater, comercials, film, TV, print, TRAINING, education, awards, and special skills. Although agents will sometimes call someone with no experience, it is better to take a class or be in a play first.

Third, refer to the phonebook and search for "talent agencies". If no results show up, look online for "Bowling Green, Kentucky Talent Agencies". Choose about 4 or 5 talent agencies to submit to. How do you submit? Keep on reading!

Fourth, compose a "coverletter" to include in your submission. Your coverletter should include the highlights of your performing experience, stuff you like to do, and why you want to act.

FINALLY, compose your submission. Purchase large envelopes and adress them to each agency. In each envelope, include a printed COLOR snapshot on 8x10 glossy paper, a resume, and a coverletter in front.

If you get a call, be prepared to have a monologue ready to show the agency what you can do!

THIS IS HOW I GOT MY AGENT! GOOD LUCK!

Okay well first to get an agent you need to go through an agency. There are several agencies located in all areas. If you want to be on Disney Channel you are looking for an acting agency. Be careful and look into several different agencies. You want to make sure you find the right agencies with the right talent. You might want to google or yahoo to find an agency near you.

Good-luck!

Get real. In the first place, agents don't take people who have NO experience (for the most part) and you need a lot of work prior to even considering an agent. Acting workshops, community theater, school plays, acting lessons, etc., etc. YOU do not decide if you are talented (even if you are), the agent, producers, and the audience does. You need a compilation of work and you should be answering cattle calls (auditions) for any and everything out there, although this will be difficult in your location. And wanting to work on Hannah Montana or the other show, I think you have a long way to go before that point. Again, YOU may feel you are talented, but you need experience. Eventually, you may want to head to LA or NYC, but first, begin locally with the suggested venues above. And remember, of all the kids who audition for these popular shows, a mere handful make the grade. Your chances are very slim, so it's important to get your education while acting in local theater.
