I am wondering when I am going to feel him moving. I am 5 months pregnant with my first child and I am waiting anxiously to feel him move. Still nothing that I recognize as movement. I am getting extremely impatient!!!

Uncertainties---labor and delivery. Not trying to think about it yet, but my sister in law just had her second child 2 months ago, so that sort of thing is fresh on my mind. I'm not sure how I will handle the pain.

Worrying that my feet will grow and I won't be able to wear my cool shoes anymore and have to pass them over to my cousin who is circling my closet like a buzzard around roadkill on the open highway.

Ah--the joys of expecting a child. :)

Well I always wonder what my son is doing in his uterine home. I feel kicks and turns, and he likes to pull on his umbilical cord, but I always wonder what exactly babies do in there. I know this might sound strange coming from an OB med student, but I've always been curious. Even though I train on the medical end of things, I'm a little uncertain about labor. Books can only teach you things from a medical point of view, and since this is my first baby, I'm not quite sure what to expect. I've heard different things from friends and family, but I'll never know untill I experience this head on. To be honest, I'm a little apprehensive about the whole thing and I'm 3 months away from my due date. All things aside, I wonder how others will answer this question. Thanks for asking it!

I am wondering how I am going to cope with a 4 year old son who is always testing me these days, and a newborn son. Its enough to make me feel crazy sometimes. Add to that, the fact my husband is 12 years older than me and usually tucked snug in bed by 8pm. I am really starting to freak out. But I am sure everything will work out fine.

I wonder what he (or she! it's going to be a surprise!) might be thinking about in there. What does he/she think about all of my goings-on throughout the day. What kind of personality will s/he have? How does every little thing I do affect him/her? For example, if I spend all day today watching TV, will it in some small way alter the outcome of what kind of person my child grows up to be?

And, of course...
-What she/he looks like
-Who she/he looks like
-What he/she will like to do
-What behaviors/habits/traits/quirks he/she will inherit from each of us!

I have three little ones, and with each one I wondered.....who will they look like? What color of eyes will they have, what color of hair....will this little baby I am carrying in side of me grow up to be patient and loving like I am or.........who will he/she become? Will I be the best mother that I can be? Will I give this child enough love to make it in this world and grow into a respectable human being.....as a mother you will always wonder.....from the time you conceive until the time you part in death.....mothering never ends...
