i'm looking for something that looks good and blends in well. it can't look like it's caked on or anything, it needs to be light and have good coverage. what's the best you've used? what gave you your best results?

bare minerals.
its pretty simple to put on and its powder made from minerals
not w/ oils like most of make up where it clogs pores and causes breakouts.
it costs a little more but worth it.
u can find it online at bare minerals.com
or sephora.com
or u can just buy it at ulta

I use Affordable Mineral Makeup. It looks good, blends well, and feels like you are not wearing anything.
It brings out your natural beauty while minimizing any flaws or wrinkles. It is multi-purpose and very versatile. Affordable Mineral Makeup is micro-formulated using the highest quality minerals and botanicals; being naturally preservative and irritant-free it is also weightless and incredibly long-wearing. It does not clog pores and it has a naturally high SPF. It helps to calm and soothe irritated skin with its zinc content, and is water resistant. Providing excellent coverage.

I swear by two things!! If you want something cheap then go for Dream Matte Mousse and if you have some money to spend order Bare Minerals makeup. They both have great blendability but the Bare Minerals is all natural and all powdered makeup. But yeah check out the Dream Matte Mousse.

I was in your position. I tried many cosmetic lines but was disappointed. The one I found that is the best: M.A.C. They match skin tones perfectly. And you won't look all caked up either. Trust me!!!! It's really light and it doesn't feel like you have any foundation on.

avon has some great foundations. they have a mousse foundation that covers great but it is not a heavy caked on feel. it blends great and makes my skin glow. i love it, it is the only foundation i use, and hides those little fine lines we ladies are trying to hide

Oh and that i understand this sounds dumb, yet verify that you do get water resistant (convinced again water resistant) sunscreen. It would not look that major, yet it really is. solid success!?

M.A.C.

they are the best... at everything. I use the studio fix powder as foundation, it's really light and not obvious but it covers very well too.

I love this coverup:

Superstay Silky by Maybelline New York.....it is a combo of coverup and SPF sunscreen to protect your skin, too.
