A certified nurses assistant does many things. I took vitals and weighed patients. I also bathed, shaved, dressed, and sometimes fed my patients. If they were still at home sometimes I would cook and do light house work for them as well. I have worked in nursing homes and patent's homes, I preferred their homes. You don't get to spend the one on one time with patients in nursing home or hospital setting as you do in the home.

A certified nursing assistant is someone who has gone through a specified number of training hours in providing personal care for people such as hospital patients or nursing home residents. They have earned a certificate that shows they have successfully completed an in depth training in working alongside and under licensed and registered nurses. They have learned how to take temperature, pulse, respiration's, blood pressures. They have learned how to spot problems to be reported to the nurse. They have learned how to properly care for, and assist, people who need nursing assistance in a variety of situations.

A lot of CNAs work in nursing homes helping the patients get dressed, bathe, etc.

C.N.A. The assist the nurses. they do thing like bed baths and combing hair helping people get into and out of bed and into and out of wheel chairs. Most C.N.A.'S work in Nursing homes.
