I've had this happen a few times...

Make sure cookies are allowed for the site - an add-on called "CookieSafe" will give you a visual indication that a site is trying to put cookies on your computer - most don't need them.
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2497/
Start off with all cookies blocked (click on the icon in the status bar (bottom of the screen) and choose to "block" all cookies") then only allow those sites that actually NEED to have cookies - usually sites that need you to sign in.

The other cause may be having JavaScript off / restricted. "NoScript" is an add-on that gives you a visual indication of sites that have JavaScript in them - most don't actually need them.

As with "CookieSafe", have all cookies "blocked", then go to your favourite sites and choose the servers that you want to allow.

These two add-ons will not only show you when a site is trying to use these technologies, but blocking sites that don't actually need them will increase your SECURITY and PRIVACY immensely!

I hope this helps,
Amanda

It may not be Firefox that may be causing this problem. It may be your privacy settings that you are using, may be you might of erased some cookies or might have to change your internet options to allow cookies from site>

Make sure cookies are enabled, and that the website isn't on the block list in your options.
