Learn and do something new every month.?

Question

One of my new year's resolution is to learn and do something new every month. I'm a homebody and all I do when I'm not busy with my babies is:
1) go to Borders
2) go to the library
3) go to the same Mexican food place and order the same thing

So ya'll tell me. What else should I do? What do ya'll like to do in ya'll spare time? Oh yeah, I don't drink or smoke.

Well, you're on the right track, with the books - there's always something to learn from them. Read about anything that interests you - especially if it's something that you haven't read much about before. I've recently been looking into various mythologies (got a book on Celtic myths recently). If you don't know your racial heritage, find out, and look into the history of any nationality you may have in your blood. Very interesting.

Try foods from different cultures instead of just Mexican - heck, start small with ordering something different off the menu.

Maybe take up a sport. For me, I used to do tae kwon do. Looking into karate, now. Interested in fencing, too, and kickboxing. If that doesn't float your boat, check out team sports (footy, netball, whatever) or water sports (swimming, kayaking, etc.) or hiking.

If I'm bored I'll often just go for a drive and end up wherever I end up. It's relaxing and you see places you may not have been before. Even if you don't go far, you might find a new coffee shop or community centre or something that you didn't know about, and it could help kickstart your search for fun. Even bundle up the kids and go for a walk (I dunno how old they are, but kids love running around, so they'll be tired and ready to go to bed when you get 'em home).

Also, go and try some outdoor activities like ROCK CLIMBING.

Roller Skating ?

Swimming at the beach, or playing video games...

Learn a new card game, or buy some new electronics.
