Research marine iguanas, they are unique to the galopagos islands :

The most noted are the Land and the Marine Iguanas.
Land Iguanas are vegetarians, living off the little vegetation provided on the mostly barren volcanic rock. For example, they may have to wait quite awhile for a Prickly Pear Cactus to drop some of its fruit.
Marine Iguanas feed on algae relatively close to shore by rasping it off the rocky bottom. They must bask in the sun on the shorelines dark rocks after diving for food in the cold waters to gain sufficient body heat to remain active to continue foraging.
Marine Iguanas maintain body solute balance by snorting excess salt through their nasal glands.
There are other species of lizard on the Galapagos but I don't know about these.
Cheers.
