Well pull of a T-82 calucator and mulitply the investment of person owning $10 million versus 10,000 dollars that how you figure out where the gains go, but still what really matter is people avoid absolute proverty not if wealthy make 10 times more than the other person. The basic bread basket of food, shelter, healthcare, little entetainment money should be marker of progress for the lowest sectors of people not income disparties. People think oh my, this person makes 300 times than other person, but if both can afford a nice car, nice house, nice wife who cares about income gaps as long as people are happy with they got. Realty is not everybody gonna be rich, and not everybody gonna make a lot of money, some are smarter with thier money, others just work harder, some work smarter. I look at basic bread basket for the lower classes than if CEO rake billions personally.

As overall wealth grows; so do the gaps.

This inherently makes sense; as other posters have pointed out --- a 5% gap is a lot smaller when you're in 10,000 increments than when you're in $1 mil increments.

So, no, as our nation accumulates more wealth, it isn't surprising that the "gaps" get further apart.

If you believe in the bible then remember what it says, the poor will be poorer and the rich richer. If you dont believe in it, then every man for himself. there is too much greedness and rich person is concerned about his wealth thinking tomorrow all his wealth may go, hence the accumulation of more wealth.

They don't hold most of 'our' wealth, because they is no 'our'. It is 'their' wealth.
