I was eating dinner with my father once when I was a little guy oh about when I was 13 years old at the time. This gentleman walks by me and all of a sudden a wad of cash falls out and one of the bills was a hundred. Everyone just staired at me as if to say "Idiot, pick it up, finders keepers buddy!". I looked at the guy, then down, I didn't hessitate, I picked up the cash and ran after the guy giving him back the money. He had this sudden look of shock and thanks all over his face! He said "Oh thank you soooo much young man! Pheewwww!". A few minutes later He walks over and picks up our bill for the dinner my father had treated me to and the man sais; "This is for being honest. Thank you so much young man. I felt sooo good that day and man was my dad ever so proud of me. :)

That is an awesome story, I would give it back too. I found a woman wallet with no ID but her bank card and her pin # was written on it, I returned the wallet to the bank.

The same thing happen to me a few years back. This man dropped a One Hundred Dollar bill, and I yelled out to him, pointed to the bill on the floor, and said you dropped something he then walked over and picked it up then gave me a dirty look go figure.

Yes, I return it.

I once found a wallet in the center of a street. I started to pass by it but knew I would return it. I looked in it to find a way to return it; once I found a driver's license, I looked no further. It proved impossible to find a phone number for the man so I wrote him a letter telling him I found his wallet and enclosed his driver's license as it was a commercial license and I thought he needed it. He called me a couple of days later at my office and I put his wallet in an envelope and took it to our loading dock for him to pick up. The next time I went to the warehouse office, the warehouse manager looked at me with smiling, shiny eyes.

To this day I have no idea how much money was in the wallet, I hope, if I ever lose my billfold, someone like you finds its.

Thanks for reminding me that I am as nice to strangers as to the people I love.

I would definitely give the money back. I may be in the minority here, but if I saw a wad of money laying on a sidewalk or something, with no one around, I would take it to the police station. I wouldn't feel right keeping it.

Just recently, I was waiting in line at Whataburger and the elderly man in front of dropped a $50 bill without noticing. I picked it up and gave it back to him.

Hooray! for you, and I hope that there are more kids in the World right now that would be that honest. I assume that you felt as big as the sky, when the guy came over and thank you for doing the right thing.

Yes! I would have (and have done) the same thing...and tell me that that amazing feeling you had after doing it and even when the man came to your table isn't worth a million dollars, not a measly $100! Good for you! good karma!!!

Definitely give it back to him. That money may not have meant anything to him, or, it could have been his rent check. Could you have spent the money on yourself and felt good about it for the rest of your life, wondering? Your dad's pride in you is worth more than that money could ever buy.
