Actually, Elton John is only partially correct. "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" is a duet. The female voice belonged to then (and still) unknown Kiki Dee. The song peaked on the Billboard charts at #1 in August, 1977 but was never included on any of John's original albums (how's THAT for some music trivia????).

Elton John.
His biggest success in 1976 was the "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", a peppy duet with Kiki Dee that topped both the American and British charts.

Elton John and Kiki Dee. I like the song, but it's always been bad luck for me. Everytime that I've heard it something bad happens in my relationships. I really try to avoid it, but in high school, everytime I heard it something bad always happened. I know for a fact it was from those two that I first heard it.
