At a show, why do I not care about how I am viewed by all around me.
When in other scenarios, things matter or insecurity may arise. Why does music provoke so much emotion in me? How does music empower my life...your life? I do not play an instrument.
It takes time to play music, it takes time to listen to it.

Well, it's easy for some people - like you or I - but then again, there are others that just are not as "touched" or affected by music.

I'm a musician and a writer, so I appreciate music as both a listener and a creator. I use livelier stuff when I'm doing chores and smoother stuff when I'm trying to de-stress.

People's minds are like radios; some are AM, some FM, some short wave, etc. They don't all tune in to the same vibe, and some don't get good reception at all...

Music is so liberating. It is a huge part of my life. It always has been. My life has a soundtrack. At any point of my life I have songs associated with my memories. Moments of my past play out like music videos! When I'm driving I have the radio or a CD playing. When I'm at home I often have music playing. The radio is usually on at work. Now I write songs, sing & play guitar at a local bar. I find expressing myself through music & sharing it with others one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and through it I've met an extraordinary man (a fellow musician/singer/songwriter) who's changing my life for the better.

Music is visceral. You feel it in your gut. We connect with it on so many levels. I tend to be a bit insecure in many ways but when I perform (singing), when I dance (use to hit the nightclubs quite often...actually I miss dancing. Will have to get back into it!) when I'm at a concert etc I lose myself in the music & nothing else matters. I don't care what people think. I am fearless. I just give myself to the music. It's a very zen-like experience! It's probably the same for you. Music is spiritual. It is very empowering. I love all different kinds from acoustic-folk to classical to alternative rock techno goth industrial rap dance...Music does so many different things. It can give you energy & move you with a rhythm & a pounding beat. It can make you think. It can relax you, inspire you, it can lift your spirit. It can bring you to tears (an exquisite piece of classical music brings me to tears every time. Violins give me chills...)

Sorry if I'm babbling but I'm pretty passionate about music! I couldn't live without it!\

Rock on!

:)

I think music has at least some secrets we don't know or are not aware of its power to human beings. It seems to me it is one of our great inventions to entertain, to console and to relieve ourselves whenever we listen to our favorite music. In brief, it is natural for our daily life to know and appreciate music and the world is more livelier than the place or time we do not have any music.

Music distracts the mind from it's own stubborn inclinations. It taps into a primal part of the brain that lulls the senses.

Because with music it is easy to tap into one's spirit. It is easy to feel free.
