I can't seem to find music and other media free to download legally. Anybody have any suggestions?

I was wondering if there were any specific sites that offered free music and video downloads, without having to pay for them. If someone could suggest some sites, some specific places on a site, or something like that, it would be really helpful. I'm looking for any place that has music that is legal to download, but is also free.
