I had a misscarriage last august and i did not have to be hospitalized. I was almost 8 weeks along. luckily everything came out on it's own w/out infection. If you have to have a D&C, you probably only have to stay overnight to make sure bleeding is under control.
As far as the preg test, you should take one from home, they're the same thing at the doc office unless it's blood work. You can find out with in 3 minutes. Good luck

Well not ever woman that has a miscarriage has to be hospitalized. It depends on how far along that person was. I had a miscarriage when i was 15. I bleed for 22 days and i had to be hospitalized for 1 week. I had a miscarriage in July 2006 and i didn't have to be hospitalized i was less than a month pregnant.

Pregnancy test if taken at home show results in 3 minutes. Blood test may take a few days all depends on your doctor.

Good luck!

When you miscarry, you usually don't stay in the hospital. After you have a D & C, or expell the fetus on your own, you're usually able to leave as soon as you feel up to it. If you're farther than 12 weeks, however, you usually stay a couple of days, since it's a fetus and not an embryo. It's recommended that you wait at least a month before trying to conceive again, but if you happen to conceive shortly after your miscarriage, it takes about two weeks for hcG to register in a home pregnancy test, and about a week in a blood hcG culture. As for the results, a home pregnancy test should give you results in a few minutes, as with a urine lab pregnancy test. A blood test usually takes about a week, and they are the most accurate.

Good Luck and Congratulations!!!

Hospital stay depends on how far along one is in their pregnancy for a miscarriage. I think with early pregnancies, there isn't a hospital stay. I miscarried when I was just shy of 7 months. I had to stay 2 days.

If you are taking a home test, it should only be a few minutes to get results.

If a person had a miscarriage, she can have positive pregnancy tests weeks after without being preggers due to prego hormones still being in her system.

I don't know about the first part..but on the second part here is my experience. When I took a home pregnancy test I had to wait 3 minutes for the results. When I went to the doctor, the nurse had me take a urine test, and by time the doctor came in..probably like 10 minutes, she had the results.

Depends on the situation and the doctor.

If she takes a hpt, about five minutes (depends on the test). Through a doctor (blood), depends on the lab; urine, about five minutes (depends on the test).

it depends on the circumstances surrounding a miscarrage. the package of the test should indicate how long. most are 3 minutes though
