came here in U.S. approximately 5 years ago. I was 12 back then.
My family and I arrived at LAX airport from korean international airport. I was fascinated by the surrounding; different kinds of ethnicities and their skin colors. However, at the same time, I was very stressed out about my future. What will I be when I grow up? How can I learn english? What lies beyond this right now?
Things kept worrying me till I fell sleep in the aunt's car, in which was heading to Santa Monica. Before I landed my feet onto this continent, I saw the bright star that shun above me. It was so bright and huge, it reminded me of star of David. My dad is still residing in korea due to his job. He is brilliant professor at college. He taught me a lot of things including how to become a real person. Here I am now. I go to high school. I'm still wandering around to see if I can really find real me inside of my soul. I'm lack of everything. I'm incomplete. Literally. I don't know what to do with my life.

You still have plenty of time to become a real person. This is the time when you should think things out carefully and calmly. With your family still in Korea, it is natural for you to have this kind of feeling of instability and uncertainty. All immigrants go through this phase. But the the US is a land of wonderful opportunities - try to make the most of those. You can keep yourself firmly rooted in the culture of your country while still imbibing all the good things the country of your choice has on offer. You will find not only will you become a better person in time but you will also be better equipped to serve your own motherland better in different ways.

Ask yourself what is right. What feels like the best path?

I will not sit here and tell you that you are in the wrong path because you're not following God, because that's not what I believe in. But there are others who will tell you this. It is up to you on what you choose. It is your path to create. When there is a fork in the road, and neither of the paths looks or feels right to you, make your own! It's your choice, my friend. Choose wisely. Use the logic and reason given you.

You may be experiencing culture shock still...I would look into it. Sometimes when a person from another culture comes here, especially from a collectivist society, they can feel separated no matter what they do.
Start by talking to someone..or maybe take a visit home.
I'm sorry you feel this way.
