Is the Paradisus Punta Cana a good resort and will there be enough activities to keep me busy for 6 nights?

I stayed at the paradisus punta cana in march of last year and didn't step foot off of the resort (except for one day trip). I seriously had no complaints about the place, and I am very picky! Everything was top notch. Service, food, liquor, shows, beaches...
We snorkeled one day (included in the all inclusive package)
Laid by the pool another day
Beach the next day
I recommend walking to the market (looking at the beach, turn right and walk about a mile and a half) they have all the jewelery, rum, tshirts, souveneirs you'll need.
The resort has a different show every night, there's a zoo on the grounds, a spa, the casino is alright....
I really recommend this day trip called a ____ safari. I can't remember the full name of it, but you will see a wall of booths when you get there, and that is where you book your excursions. It is basically a bus with no windows, and they feed you rum all day, and you go to all these cool places, like a cigar factory, sugar cane field, a really pretty church, an actual Dominican elementary school (in session), a Dominican town, and at the end, you take a raft down a river and eat all-you-can-eat lobster, and dance! It was one of the coolest experiences!
I hope this helped! Have fun!

I've been to several hotels in Punt Cana and have visited many others.

The Paradisus is a great resort - rated 5 out of a possible 6. There's lots to do all day and night, plus the rooms are ALL deluxe suites and the food is great. They have ten restaurants, seven bars, and nightly entertainment. I send clients there all the time and get really good feedback from them. The resort comes highly recommended - I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Punta Cana does not have many off-resort activities or places of interest - its kind of a laid-back, chill-out and enjoy your resort vacation. All hotels have tour desks for the 20 or so tours that are available.

Most of the tours happen in or on the water; the array of water sports options offered right on the beach is amazing: catamaran boat rides, double-decker party boats, restaurant dining at sunset on the sea, parasailing, glass bottom boats for marine life observation, sports fishing, diving, snorkeling, flying boats, speed boats. The boat taxis can take you from one hotel to another via the beach. There is also banana boating, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing and beach volleyball.

But here are other activities to consider:
Safari-type excursions on four-wheel bikes, buggy rides, jeep safaris, monster trucks or helicopter rides for a privileged view. A dozen of companies offer these adventure tours that take the tourists to observe tropical wilderness, visit a countryside home where typical Dominican food lunch will be served, examine tropical crops, take a dip at a deserted beach or for a swim in a cool river.

Horseback riding is also popular in Punta Cana with the option of riding on deserted white-sand beaches, making for great photography.

Punta Cana has year round beach weather - with the high season from mid December to mid April. The rainy/hurricane season is mid August to mid October, so take that into account when planning your vacation.

When you get to the hotel go to the conceirge who will have a list of places and things to do in Punta Cana. I would suggest that you go to Tripadvisor and also google activities in Punta Cana to give you a heads up on the activities that will be available for you and your party.
You will not be bored, the people are very friendly and the hotel staff at the resorts are looking to make sure you are a return customer.
As for night life these places usually have something going on but again go and seek your conceirge so that he can guide you.

My husband and I went to Paradisus last year for our honeymoon. You really don't have to get your wallet out for anything but the excursions. My husband and I didn't do anyof the excursions, so I got kinda bored by the end of the week. If you are social and outgoing, you can meet some people and hang out with them. My husband and I didn't put forth the effort to meet anyone, plus most of the people spoke Spanish and seemed like they wanted to just relax by themselves, like my husband and I. I would go to tripadvisor.com and look up the Paradisus so you can know what to expect. Plenty of people have reviewed and will let the readers know what is good to do. We really did love Paradisus, it was amazingly beautiful and our room was immaculate and big! They do allow kids there though, so just maybe expect that.

Well, the beaches are the most beautiful in the world (UNESCO), free flow of food and drinks from 6:30 am to 5:00 am next day, massage parlors (no funny business), small casinos, water sports, I think you can make it, Paradisus is one of the best hotels there.

But other than the hotel, there is not much really to do
