Some women get very bad cramps, and others hardly feel it at all. There are medicines like Midol that helps if it does hurt. You probably won't be sure it's coming until it's there. You might feel very bloated and irritable before it comes, but not everyone does.

It doesn't hurt but your body is quite uncomfortable for a while, while you have it. Once you get your period for the first time, you get used to the feeling, and you know when you are going to get it again, with the cramps and bloating as signs. The first time I ever got mine, I didn't know it until after school when I went to the bathroom, but after that I always knew when I was going to get it. You will be irregular for a while, you may not get it every month, but your body should give you a pretty good idea of when it is about to come. Goodluck :)

It doesn't hurt but its a MAJOR inconvenience at times. Period pain may hurt (cramps in the lower stomach region) but medication can be bought for this and not all girls get pains. You wont always know its coming!

You won't know when your period comes unless you have cramps or bloating and that is usually a sign that it is coming. You won't feel any pain unless you are having cramps.
