if it's a ligament sprain, forget the food option. There's is nothing that you can eat that will make it heal faster.
You need to use the knee to a reasonable suitable amount for the ligament to recuperate to it's maximal strength, instead of conventional bed rest that was recommended for decades. The collagen fibres in ligaments needs appropriate stress to realign themselves. This is especially important if you are sporty and intend to resume playing any form of sport in the future. This is rehab, to prevent recurrences.
If you have no idea how to, seek out a medical professional who knows the meaning of what I've just said. No fitness trainer, no gym specialist will be able to help you. Seek out the right pple.

If you eat foods with lots of protein and calcium it will heal faster...things like milk, red meat, beans and protein bars or shakes.
Hope this helps! :-)

Knox gelatin sells a joint formula. It doesn't work right away, but it's supposed to do wonders in the long term.
Try that.

No ICE, REST and Elevate above your heart.
Wrap it to use it, and don't sit or stand too long for the first -two weeks.
